End of summer making you sad? Need some fall inspiration?

Come join me for a special mini family session at Masker Orchards in Warwick, NY on Saturday, September 17th*. I will provide a unique setting with props to create a fun fall atmosphere.

Apple of My Eye Session will include:

- 20 minute mini session (for up to 5 people)

- 15-30 edited images in an online gallery

- All images on High Resolution CD to make prints

- Custom DVD quality photo video of all images set to music to share with family and friends

Price $200

What an amazing summer it has been! Thank you to all my new and old clients for keeping me behind the camera and not the computer during these beautiful days. I feel so humbled and lucky to get to work with such fun, happy, and loving families. I know I am behind in posting but that is about to change. Cutie Patooties Playspace | Englewood, NJ| Family photographer

If you are a mom living in Bergen County, NJ then I’m sure you have heard of Cutie Patooties in Englewood. If you haven’t heard about them, here are the details. It’s an all in one playspace for families with newborns to 6 year olds. They have all types of classes including yoga, music, art & cooking, host amazing birthday parties, they even have a boutique gift shop selling unique one of a kind items like lil threadz shirts. But the coolest part is their 1,500 sq. ft. indoor playspace. It is a child’s dream from a big red crooked barn where you can pretend to be a farmer selling fruits and veggies to a center stage where you can preform your latest dance moves. As a grownup you find yourself wanting to get silly on stage or play a super hero in their super hero conner. They even have a snack bar for when your little one gets a snack attack or if you need a caffeine fix.

Brandi Simpkins is the creator / owner of this wonder space. She wanted some pictures to capture the heart and feel of the space to share on her website. As a family photographer I don’t usually photograph spaces but was so excited to create a visual world for such a unique space. I was also allowed to capture one of the child centered classes they offer. Please enjoy the images below!

Demarest 5K |Family Photographer | New Jersery

Demarest is the small town many of us hope to live in one day. A place where new neighbors will be welcomed with fresh baked brownies and apple pie, and where the postman knows your name and always has a treat for your dog. Simply put, a tight knit community.

Yesterday the PTO sponsored the 29th annual Demarest 5K to promote exercise and good health and help raise some money . I happily volunteered to capture the event on film. There were some impressive runs put in but my favorite moments were when the families shared the experience together. Some parents cheered for their children at the start, while others crossed holding hands at the finish! I hope you enjoy these images and know these happy moments and sense of community are alive and well here in Demarest.

British Invasion| NJ/NY Family Photographer

After several rain postponements from our initial appointment in March, I was finally able to steal a sunny day on Easter morning to capture these family friends. Mom is British (and one of the loveliest people I know), Dad is American and their son is 100% cuteness. The red, white and blue color combo that they wore was patriotic for all! It is not hard to see how excited they were to be out in the sunshine and warm temps. Their son was all about finding “muddy dirt” but with a snack of goldfish we were able to direct him back to the grass for some winning shots, just a few of which I have posted here. Proof positive that “Good things come to those who wait”!

“Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun. Please shine down on me!” So far this spring sunny mornings have been few and far between, but we finally got one this past Wednesday. Johnson Davis Park again provided a beautiful backdrop to capture these two adorable sisters in their Springtime best. The wind was a challenge at times, but also gave us a natural windswept look in some of these shots. Hope these pictures remind us of warmer and sunnier days to come!

In celebration of Mothers Day on May 8th, TOJ is partnering with Suzanne Nursing Boutique to bring you a unique Mother’s Day Contest!

Expectant bellies, our baby’s first cry, perfect toes, holding our little ones so close. We all know that motherhood is a truly special experience, but each of us has a unique perspective.

We are looking for you to share with us that special image that answers the question, “What does motherhood mean to you?”

The person that shares the most moving photograph and commentary as voted by our fans will receive:

- a special gift bag of Nursing goodies from SNB

- a free 1 hour special themed Mother’s Day style photo shoot on location of winner’s choosing from TOJ

- 20-30 edited images in an online gallery to share with all the people who helped you win

- High-Resolution CD of all images

Purr…fect Pals|C.L.A.W.S| NJ/NY Family Photographer

If you are like me then you consider your pet as a member of your family. Animals are a big part of my life so I offered my services to help out a non-profit organization called C.L.A.W.S (Closter Animal Welfare Society). They are not a shelter but a network of dedicated volunteers that rescue and foster abandoned or unwanted cats and dogs until they find the best permanent homes for these animals. Their existence depends solely on money raised from fundraisers and adoption donations.

I visited C.L.A.W.S headquarters during one of their adoption Saturdays with my step-daughter to take some pictures of these pets who desperately need a loving home. We know a picture says a thousand words–hopefully these images will get them all adopted. If you’re looking for a new friend come and meet our purrfect pals….
Big Baby (all orange big male) 11 years old……super sweet but would love to be an only cat.

Jerry (tiger striped grey, black & white) 1 year old neutered male….super friendly, outgoing, not so good with other cats though.

Mayfair (Orange & White) we are guessing 5 years old, neutered male, very easygoing and sweet.

Luna (grey, some white on face) 2 year old declawed spayed female, very friendly.

Oreo (black and white) 4 year old spayed female.

Beautiful (all orange female) 2 years old, spayed,very sweet, polydatcl (six toes).

Tinkerbell (long haired) 2 year old spayed female.

C.L.A.W.S headquarters are located in Bergenfield. They hold adoption days on Saturdays from 1-4pm.

TOJ is looking forward to doing other events to help raise money for these furry friends. So stay tuned!

I want to add a special thank you to my step-daughter. Her images really captured Big Baby’s and Jerry’s spirt. Great work Ra-Ra!

One on the Way | Maternity/Newborn Photographer | Livingston, NJ

Oooh how I love Maternity Sessions! The anticipation is so contagious and I just adore a pregnant belly.

Mom-to-be is an old friend from my city days, in fact I was there the night she met dad-to-be. I was so excited when she contacted me to do a Maternity shoot for her. So great when an old friend becomes a client. This family is preparing for their newest member to arrive this spring. Big Brother-to-be was all energy, happy to lend a hand to his mom when she needed. What a loving family! Can’t wait to meet the newest addition!
